Smooth CE 7.4 Elliptical Trainer

Looking for a health club quality elliptical but you don't want to have to join a health club or gym?
The Smooth CE 7.4 elliptical trainer is the elliptical trainer that will fit your needs.

The Smooth CE 7.4 elliptical trainer is club quality and even has more features and adjustments that many health club ellipticals have.                                                                                                                                                                Smooth CE 7.4 elliptical trainer

To start off, this elliptical has 16 levels of intensity so that it will work for those who are just starting our in their elliptical routines in addition to experienced elliptical users.  You'll find that with the electro magnetic resistance and heavy duty fly wheel your workouts will be smooth and you won't feel the jerking motion when changing intensity levels that you may find on lower quality budget ellipticals.

Smooth CE 7.4 Workout Programs

The CE 7.4 has 13 workout programs and several of the programs have different levels or different settings so you'll find that you will have more than enough types of programs to keep you motivated and effectively reach your goals in the shortest time possible.

I like the idea that there are 5 custom programs where you can create your own personal programs. Let's say that you will be going hiking while on vacation and want to get in better shape to walk up and down rolling hills. You can create a program to simulate this and make this your main program so that you are in better shape to take your hike.
Since there are 5 programs that you can create you can keep this one loaded in the elliptical while you create another 4.

This elliptical also has  the ability to hold 9 user profiles, so if you are sharing this elliptical with a family member you can each have your own profile. The additional profiles are also good if you want to use  certain programs at different times of the year or days of the week. This is also good if you have had an injury and you need to do certain exercises and also need to avoid certain movements.

The heart rate program works with a wireless chest strap ( included) or you can use the presets.  When you use the chest strap you would set your targeted heart rate and the heart rate program would start off with a warm up period, then move into the workout and will increase or decrease the workout depending on how your hear rate is responding to the workout and then once the workout is almost completed the program goes into a cool down period, just like you would have at a fitness class.

The fitness level test will help you track your fitness levels as you use your elliptical long term. It's a good idea to take a beginning fitness test to see where you are when you start your workout program and then every 30-45  days or so to see how you are progressing.  If you feel that you are progressing nicely then you can keep on the same track. However, if you find that you are not seeing the progress that you would like you can adjust your workout programs, how often you workout and the length of your workout.

Always remember that increasing your fitness does take a while and you should not expect to start off at an unfit level one day and arrive at an intermediate level in just a few short weeks.  It takes time to slowly and safely build up your level. It's the slow but steady build up that is the one that will give you the best results.

Since you always should be checking with your doctor before you start any new fitness program discuss this with your health care provider and they can give you tips on exercising safely - especially if you are currently out of shape, live a sedentary life, are over 50  or have a medical condition.  While some people may feel shy about discussing their fitness plans with their physicians, you will find that most will be very excited to give you fitness tips and information.

At 21 inches you'll find that the stride length is a good fit and will allow you to stretch out more than if you were using an elliptical with a 17 or 18 inch stride.  The pedal movements are ergonomic so you will find that the pedaling is more comfortable.
